What is collected
Only a fixed list of gameplay events: round started, guess submitted, guided-mode prompt shown or dismissed, guided mode enabled, round completed, result shared, help opened, language switched and your consent choice.
Each event carries categorical context only: the schema version, the game and content identifiers, the puzzle id, the rules and content versions, your language and the mode you played in, plus values such as the guess number, distance band and outcome.
What is never collected
Never your typed search text, city names, personal names, e-mail addresses, complete page URLs, referrers, precise coordinates, clipboard contents or the text you share. Autocapture, automatic page views, page-leave tracking, session recording, surveys and person profiles are all switched off, and location lookup from your IP address is disabled.
The study identifier
If you accept, a random identifier is generated on this device so repeat rounds can be counted once. It is kept for a maximum of 14 days, is never linked to a profile, and is deleted immediately when you switch analytics off.
Where data goes
Events are sent to PostHog Cloud EU at eu.i.posthog.com. There is no advertising and there are no other trackers.
